Wireless sensor network has been widely used in targets tracking, intrusion detection and some related fields locating. This paper presents a centric positioning algorithm based on the cellular distribution of anchor nodes. Firstly the unknown nodes point out electromagnetic wave intensity according to the detection of known coordinates of the anchor; calculate the distances of proximity anchor nodes. Secondly according to the distances between unknown node and anchor nodes, choose the anchor nodes of the distance from unknown node within a certain range. Lastly obtain the positioning coordinate by adding and averaging these anchor nodes coordinates so as to realize the positioning. The advantage of this localization algorithm is simple and effective meanwhile reducing the design difficulty and the devices power consumption.
