A novel image encryption algorithm based on high-dimensional compound chaotic systems

A new image encryption scheme based on high-dimensional compound chaotic systems is proposed in this paper. The encryption system utilizes a 2D Logistic chaotic map to shuffle the pixel matrix of the plain image. Then a strong nonlinear coupling structure combining hyper-chaos is constructed and different ways of encryption are chosen according to different areas to make gray-level transformation. Simulation experiment results and security analysis demonstrate that the proposed image algorithm has a large key space, and is very sensitive to initial values. Excellent confusion and diffusion properties are demonstrated in the proposed algorithm. Moreover, it can resist exhaustive attack, statistical attack and sensitive attack, etc.
