Direct digital waveform synthesizer(DDWS) is a digital method that the radar signal is generally generated.The error resource of DDWS is presented.The principle that signal is reconstructed in digital-to-analog converters(DAC) is analyzed in the DDWS structure.The reconstructed signal error of the DAC effecting on the signal pulse compression performance is compared.Moreover,a digital compensative algorithm of Sinc function modulated signal error of DAC is developed. The linear frequency modulated(LFM) signals with 30 MHz center frequency,(20 MHz) bandwidth and 40 MHz bandwidth are compensated,respectively.The experimental results show that the algorithm is simple and can compensate the modulated waveform error due to DAC signal reconstruction.
