Carcinoma of the sigmoid colon, rectum, and anal canalA clinicopathological analysis of 150 cases

A N analysis is presented of the clinical and morphological data on 150 patients with carcinoma of the sigmoid colon, rectum, and anal canal. The patients were observed consecutively between 1934 and 1947 at the University of Oklahoma Hospitals. The analysis includes the sex and age incidence, the sites of occurrence, the structure of the growths, and their spread locally and to distant parts. The clinical manifestations and their duration, the clinical diagnosis, and the treatment and results are also considered.
