An Efficiency Evaluation Method for Shared Parking Implement Based on Secondary Development of GIS

With a double restriction from the explosive growth of motor vehicle and construction hysteresis of parking facility, the method of shared parking can alleviate the disparities between the supply and demand by improving the utilization of parking effectively. This paper analyzed three basic conditions of the shared parking implement from supply, demand and acceptable walking distance. To promote the mutual complementarity between different parcels, a method of shared parking partitioning based on shortest path assignment of parking demand was established with differentiated management measures. Then a WinForm program to simulate the implementation plan was programmed based on ArcGIS API, using c# language, which make the assessment quantitatively and automatically. At last, the program is applied to Sipailou District in Nanjing. The result can provide technical guidelines and reference to the implement of shared parking strategy and establishment of parking accessory standard on mixed land-use.
