Information transmission method and apparatus thereof

The invention discloses an information transmission method and an apparatus thereof. The method is characterized in that: when a special transmission bandwidth of an area exists in the area which is pointed by area information in a management frame, one or more values of a bandwidth indication field in a control signaling are paraphrased to be the special transmission bandwidth; when one or more values of the bandwidth indication field in the control signaling are paraphrased to be the special transmission bandwidth, a data length under the special transmission bandwidth is calculated and the data length is indicated to a terminal. According to the invention, under the condition of not increasing costs, the special transmission bandwidths in different regions can be supported by 802.11ac.
