Continuous Finite-Time Observer-Controller Based Speed Regulation of Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motors

A finite-time speed tracking control for a permanent-magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) using an unknown load torque disturbance estimation technique is presented. The proposed control scheme depends on finite-time convergence of a state observer, which estimates motor speed, acceleration and the unknown load torque. A continuous output feedback controller that can achieve global finite-time stability for a PMSM is constructed based on a "finite-time separation principle". The simulation results show the efficiency of the method.
