ANALYSIS ON OPERATIONAL PROBLEMS IN SOUTH CHINA AC-DC HYBRID POWER GRID

The South China power grid is the first long-distance and huge capacity power grid with AC and DC power networks in parallel in China. Here, the general situation of South China power grid is introduced and the main problems in this grid such as weak damping and inadequate dynamic voltage supporting ability, etc., are analyzed. On the basis of analyzing the related technological strategy existing in South China power grid, the ways and the measures to solve these problems are researched and the prospect of future works are given.
