Research on perception reconstruction of implantable device based on sensor system

According to the issue of perception reconstruction and blood supply safety after long-term implantation of an artificial anal sphincter (AAS) in a body, a sensor system which could be suitable for in vivo perception and interact with the outside body is proposed and experimentally evaluated. In order to build accuracy perception system, ten pressure sensors are embedded in an artificial anal sphincter. Transcutaneous energy transfer system wireless communication system are adopted to power supply and information interaction. What's more, a mass model which shows a quantitative relationship between the sensor signal and the quality (mass) of the content of the intestinal tract is established. Then the vitro and vivo experiments are conducted to evaluate the reliability of the mass model. Based on vitro experiment results, the accuracy of the reconstruction function is over 90%. Even the results of vivo experiment verified that the accuracy is about 83%, which is acceptable. The mass model based on sensor system is a new way to improve the perception reconstruction for fecal incontinence or the other implantation devices.
