Logic of Collision Elimination for Reducing Propagation Delays on Ethernet and its Application Simulation

In this paper, logic of collision elimination for reducing propagation delays on Ethernet is advanced. The strategy requires no change of the host network repeaters and is completely transparent to hosts. Incoming signals at the repeater ports are handled by a collision elimination method in the strategy. Logic of realizing the strategy is simulated. For the standard BEB Ethernet protocol operating at moderate load, it can reduce mean end-to-end network delay 20% at least according to the result of emulation.
