Research on optimal operation of hybrid power system with high-penetration photovoltaics

Aiming at the optimal operation of the hybrid power generation system with high-penetration photovoltaics, a hybrid generation system's coordination and optimization model is proposed. Firstly, the differences of the hybrid generation system is studied and the operation optimal characteristics are obtained. Based on this, considering the thermal units fuel cost, start-stop cost, pollutant cost and the amount of abandoned light, The time-dependent output of the main energy supply and the start — stop variables of the thermal units are the objective functions of the optimization variables, and the optimal operation target of the hybrid operation system and minimum amount of abandoned light are realized by the model. The proposed model can improve the operating economy of the hybrid generation system. The simulation and analysis of a test system are carried out by using the model proposed in this paper. And the results show the applicability and validity of the model.
