Application of Sieve Plate Tower in Wet FGD Process

The investigate the effect of sieve plate tower in the process of wet flue gas desulfurization (FGD) was introduced.The experiment of wet FGD,with the slurry of limestone as the sorbent,was conducted in the plate absorber.The influential factors,such as L/V,the inlet SO2 concentration,Ca/S,on the desulfurization efficiency are investigated.The experimental results show that the desulfurization efficiency increased with raising of L/V and Ca/S,under the condition of L/V of 2.2,the desulfurization efficieny can reach 68%;and the desulfurization efficiency decreased with the increasing of the inlet concentration of SO2,the sieve plate tower can obtain higher desulfurization efficiency with lower L/V under the condition of experiment,which is important to reduce the cost of FGD.
