An Energy-balanced Clustering Protocol for Wireless Sensor Network

LEACH(Low-Energy Adaptive Clustering Hierarchy) is a classic hierarchical routing protocol for wireless sensor networks. In this paper,we propose a new energy-balanced clustering protocol, which gives full consideration to sensor nodes' energy state in the clustering process and improves both the clustering scheme and inter-cluster routing of LEACH.Both theoretical analysis and simulation results show that our new protocol can balance the nodes' energy consumption and extend the network lifetime effectively.
