Mobile Ad-hoc Network (MANET) is a collection of wireless mobile nodes dynamically forming a temporary network without the aid of any established infrastructure or centralized administration. The mobility of nodes in MANETs changesfrequently which results in changing network topology, due to changing network topologyrouting in MANETs a challenging task.MANETs are weak against many types of attack, one of the attacks is the black hole attack. In this attack, a malicious node advertises itself as having freshest or shortest path to specific node to absorb packetsitself. The effect of black hole attack on ad hoc network using AODV as a routing protocolwith Http traffic load will be examined in this research. The performance analysis of AODV reactive protocol is evaluated with respect to throughput and end -toend delay using OPNET modeller .
