Cardiac tamponade in rheumatoid arthritis. A case report and review of the literature.

A 44-year-old woman with rheumatoid arthritis developed electrocardiographic changes compatible with a myopericarditis. During an exacerbation of her disease she developed an acute cardiac tamponade that was treated successfully by partial pericardiectomy.
