Method and apparatus for processiing radio link control data in mobile telecommunication system

PURPOSE: A radio link control data processing method in a mobile communication system and an apparatus thereof are provided to prevent a polling PDU from being unnecessarily re-transmitted from an RLC transmission device. CONSTITUTION: It is checked whether an RLC status report which includes states of received RLC(Radio Link Control) packet data units is triggered(305). If the RLC status report is triggered, it is checked whether a status report prohibit timer for prohibiting the RLC status report for a predetermined time is being driven(310). If the status report prohibit timer is being driven, a cause which makes the RLC status report triggered is checked(320).
