solar energy represents a significant potential that has been exploited through various technologies. Photovoltaic energy is an example. It is an attractive solution for the production of electricity. This work describes a photovoltaic generator connected to the grid using passive filter L, LC, LCL, comparing to damping LCL filter with series and parallel resistor. The proposed system compares the performance of current source THD (total harmonic distortion) of the system before and after passive damping methods in the existing of non linear load using a harmonics identification method based on (FFT). The objective is to reduce high-frequency harmonic existed in the output of inverter grid connected system, mitigate LCL filter resonance and switching losses in order to ensure sinusoidal current injection. The results of theoretical work are verified under Matlab/Simulink environment.
