It is necessary to construct head-related transfer function database for rendering and studying three dimensional audio. For this reason, many research groups have tried to develop a HRTF measurement system and to construct a database for HRTFs. Some HRTF measurement systems have several drawback such as long measurement time. Inevitable posture change of a listener caused by long measurement time requirement makes notable discontinuity of HRTF in space-frequency domain. To remedy aforementioned drawback, newly designed HRTF measurement device with rotating speaker frame and forty-eight speakers was proposed. In addition, to reduce measurement time further, measurement method using sine sweep signal was proposed and analyzed. By adopting the proposed HRTF measurement system using sine sweep signal with sweep duration of 100㎳, measurement time can be reduced to less than 10 minute.
