Matrix Cuff Electrodes for Fibre and Fascicle Selective Peripheral Nerve Recording and Stimulation

This paper describes the concept, design, fabrication and basic characterisation of a novel 58-contact matrix cuff electrode. The purpose of such an electrode is to provide maximum interfacing flexibility, allowing fascicle as well as fibre selective stimulation and recording when installed around a peripheral nerve.
