Study of kinetic behavior of silicone rubber used on the cover of polymeric insulators

This research paper is about the kinetics of the thermal degradation of silicone rubber used on the cover of the polymer insulators, by carrying out a thermal aging for six months with two different temperatures: room temperature and 140°C, in an oven with air circulation. The study was conducted using the thermogravimetric technique. The kinetic analysis was carried out by the method of Flynn-Wall-Ozawa, showing as a result a slight degradation after aging.
