An Optimization Model Combining Generation Side and Energy Storage System With Demand Side to Promote Accommodation of Wind Power

To improve wind power accommodation level,it is necessary to bring demand side response and energy storage technology into optimization of power generation scheduling,and utilize the ability of demand side management and energy storage technology to adjust and control load distribution. Taking economic benefit maximization as the objective of optimization,and considering such constraints as coordination of power supply and demand,electricity price elasticity at power consumption side,energy loss in energy storage system,operating and outage time of generating units,ramp rate of generating units,limit of generation output and reserve capacity,a power generation dispatching model for power grid integrated with large-scale wind farms is constructed. Simulation results show that by means of the synergetic effect of demand side management with energy storage technology,power grid's ability of accommodating wind power could be improved and economic benefit of wind power generating units would be ensured better,and power grid's coal consumption level for power generation would be decreased.
