A matrix decomposition algorithm for multi-channel blind identification

Blind channel identification and equalization have attracted a great deal of attention due to their potential application in mobile communications and digital HDTV systems. We present a new algorithm based on channel parameter outer-product decomposition. This new algorithm can be viewed as a generalization of a linear prediction algorithm. It produces more accurate channel estimates and is more robust to over-modeling errors in the channel order estimate.
