Multimedia playing control method and system

The invention provides a multimedia playing control method. The method comprises the steps that a first terminal is connected with a second terminal through a wireless network; the first terminal sends a playing control instruction to the second terminal, wherein the playing control instruction carries a multimedia link address; and the second terminal receives the playing control instruction, and receives and plays multimedia data corresponding to the link address according to the playing control instruction. After the first terminal is connected with the second terminal through the wireless network, the first terminal sends the playing control instruction to the second terminal. The playing control instruction carries the multimedia link address. The second terminal receives and plays the corresponding multimedia data according to the multimedia link address. Due to the fact that the method and the system do not need to depend on a specific hardware device, the cost can be reduced through the method and the system.
