2D T-law: a novel approach for image companding

In this paper we discuss a method to compand an image; or in other words, if an image is represented using b bits per pixel and we want to decrease it to a bits peer pixel in that case present algorithm may be used. The proposed technique preserves the features present in an image. Present technique is easy to implement and understand.
