Flash Intensity Testing System

In the military, the measurement of light intensity is very common, which is very demanding on accuracy and range. This paper presents a discussion on a flash intensity testing system with high precision, wide range and scale automatic transformation. The system regards the ATmega128 as core processor, combined with high sensitivity silicon photodiode, 12-bit high speed A/D converter and USB transfer mode, which realizes the real-time data acquisition, process and transmission. The system also realizes the real-time display the curve of the flash intensity by using a effective data transfer protocol and LabVIEW software design idea.
