FEM Calculation of Dynamic Stress of Soil-embedded Steel Tank Subjected to Blast Load

In order to investigate the intension of the soil-embedded steel tank influenced by the action of blast load in war,in this paper the dynamic response of 30m3 steel tank which is widely used in filling station at present was calculated with the shell dynamic FEM method.Then,the numerical analysis of dynamic stress in dangerous sections and zones was made according to the structure peculiarity and the load form of the steel tank.The result shows that the tank's largest normal deformation exists in the section of middle span under the nuclear explosion impact;for the steel tank with embedded depth 1.2m,subjected to 0.05MPa ground excessive pressure,the largest dynamic stress is in the middle section of the tank and is much smaller than the material's yield stress.
