Problem contexts—A consultant's perspective

This paper is an attempt at building on the idea of a “system of systems methodologies” to introduce a dynamic element in its use and thereby increase its effectiveness. The author, a practicing management consultant, has perceived the advantages of classifying various systems methodologies on the basis of problem contexts. Additional benefit, assesses the author, will be obtained by recognizing the dynamic nature of these contexts. Some insights have been developed on this theme. Areas needing further theoretical enhancement and action research are also identified.
