The reservoir parameter calculation method using the nuclear magnetic resonance log data

Based on the interaction between protons and external magnetic field, the nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) logging is a kind of logging methods researching the natural content and occurrence of the hydrogen in fluids. The formation porosity, permeability, water saturation and other reservoir parameters can be determined through it. Under the analysis on four-property relations in sand conglomerate reservoirs of this area, the T2 cutoff of key parameters is identified, and based on that, the effective porosity of reservoir is calculated, analyzing the applicability of the Coates model and SDR model in the permeability calculation. The application results show that the interpretation is reliable because the interpretation results and core analysis results highly coincide with each other.
