Research and Implementation on Algorithm of Geological Section Map Automatic Generation Based on GIS

Based on the geographic information system( GIS) technology,the topological data structure of the geological section was designed,the algorithm of section map automatic generation was proposed,realizing the automatic generation of geological section map. The algorithm could automatically process the spatial relationship between fault, collapse column and strata,and overcome the disadvantages of traditional technology based on CAD,such as low automation degree of data processing,and requirement of manual intervention.
