To improve fuel consumption, hybrid system, turbo-charged engine, and clean diesel engine vehicles have been developed. These new systems require additional heat exchangers. By adding new heat exchangers into the system, the air flow for the heat exchangers of engine cooling module is reduced. Consequently, cooling fan power and thickness of these heat exchangers are increased. Additional heat exchangers require extra space in front of the vehicles. Calsonic Kansei (CK) developed new cooling module that is referred as “SLIM” ( S ingle L ayer I ntegrated cooling M odule) cooling (hereinafter referred to as SLIM)” (1). This has current type (i.e., air cooled) and water-cooled condensers. The cooling water of sub-radiator is used for water-cooled CAC and water-cooled condenser. By doing this, layout space is reduced by 40% and the fuel consumption is improved from 3–5%.
