A supplier classification method based on fuzzy multi-attribute group decision-making

Moving from a single decision-maker to a group of decision-makers introduces a great deal of complexity into the analysis. The problem is no longer the selection of the most preferred alternative among the non-dominated solution according to one individual's preferred structure. Firstly, the supplier selection, evaluation and management have become the key factors affecting the market competitiveness in the future. And, the supplier selection is the base. For the selection of the most preferred supplier, this paper proposes a new fuzzy multi-attribute group decision-making method, which takes into account the preferred uncertainty in decision-making and uses the weighted Hamming distance. Furthermore the classification of the suppliers was attained by their closeness coefficient region. Finally, an example was presented to prove the simple and feasible of the proposed method.
