Integrating System's Functional Model and its Structional Model Toward Denotational Dialogue Specification

This paper presents an extension onto our previous researches for integrating system-side description and that of user-side. Higher abstraction level (task level) of dialogue description is introduced, and the relationship between this and command level are specified. The structures of the dialogue are given in the syntax representation, and semantics functions are introduced to designate the meaning of the dialogue, based on the notions of Denotational Semantics. With our framework, we can have possiblities of having a way to clarify problems between a system and a user.
