This paper presents the resuHs of numerical simulations used to test a proposed new substructure system identification (SSIDJ method, with “noise” included in the simulated vibration test data. In the vibration test, a// interface degrees of freedom where the substructure is connected to the carrier structure are either subjected lo active excitation or are suppotied by a test stand wifh fhe reaction forces measured. A linear. viscous-damped mode/ is obtained (hf, C. and K), with a// iNefface-DOF entries included. Multiple-boundary-condition tests are nol required, and test-stand dynamics are accounfed for without a separare test-stand modal test or finite element modeling of the test stand.
