A reconfigurable multiband patch antenna for wireless applications using MEMS switches

A compact multiband antenna has been redesigned to be reconfigurable with embedded switches to allow selective addressing of these bands. The concept, simulation, and implementation of developing these reconfigurable antennas using MEMS switches and their relevant experimental demonstrations will be discussed in this article. © 2009 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
