We are grateful to Drs Seropian and Abbate for their interest in our recent publication.1 We agree that a chronic total occlusion of coronary arteries is defined as an occlusion with Thrombolysis in Myocardial Infarction (TIMI) grade 0 flow persisting >3 months.
