Strength Analysis of Spiral Bevel Gears with High Contact Ratio

In this paper,the bending stress states of HCR (High Contact Ratio) spiral bevel gears in conditions of various errors and loads have been studied by applying the FEM (Finite Element Method) and stress influencing matrix technique.The calculated results have showed that the high bending strength could be obtained in transmitting of HCR spiral bevel gears in a certain error allowance by optimal design of tooth surface topology,as well as favourable dynamic behavior.
