Deformed steel fiber—cementitious matrix bond under impact

Abstract In order to understand the behavior of steel fiber reinforced concrete under impact, pull-out resistance of deformed steel fibers embedded in cement based matrices has been studied at very high rates of pull-out. A Charpy type pendulum impact tester with modified specimen support system has been used. Comparisons are drawn with static pull-out test results. The rate sensitivity of the fiber pull-out processes has been demonstrated.
