Localização de postos de coleta para apoio ao escoamento de produtos extrativistas-um estudo de caso aplicado ao babaçu

The present work carries out a research on the babaçu tree extrativism in a northeast region of Brazil in order to locate collecting places to the outlet of its production. This work aims to rationalize the transportation work between the collecting place and the processing place. As an important hypothesis considered in this process is that it is possible, through the aerial pictures, to locate and to delineate the area of production of babaçu tree and its distribution through out the road system. In order to solve the problem, three (3) algorithms are used: Floyd’s algorithm which determines the minimum distances between every note that constitutes the road system; The p-median algorithm which locates the collecting places, and the genetic algorithm which finds out the distances and the route of the traveling salesman’s problems. To evaluate the obtained results concerning the problem of implanting the collecting places, an analysis of economic viability is done. The implantation of the collecting places is suggested and such implantation is justified by the results obtained in this work.
