ICT-based solution for elderly people

Improving the lives of elderly people within suitable ICT solutions in combination with existing social or medical services represents a big challenge for not only public but also private sector. The aim is to provide easily understandable and applicable solutions in order to support their daily activities and to increase their quality of life. Moreover, these solutions imply a reduction of time and costs not only for elderly people but for services providers too. These objectives motivated a formation of SPES project (Support Patients through E-Services Solutions1) under Central Europe programme that implements special software platform in 4 European cities: Ferrara, Vienna, Brno and Košice.
