Descriptive Data on Trends Among Patients Hospitalized With Lyme Disease in Southwest Michigan, 2017–2021

Abstract This retrospective chart review identifies hospitalizations for Lyme disease at two southwest Michigan hospital systems, 2017-2021. Lyme admissions increased sharply, while admissions for Lyme carditis and neuroborreliosis increased in parallel. Southwest Michigan is becoming an endemic area for Lyme disease.
