Excitation of giant resonances in deformed nuclei by fast protons

In the framework of Glauber theory, cross sections are calculated for the 1 GeV proton inelastic scattering on the deformed nucleus 154Sm. The semimicroscopic approach is used for the description of giant resonances. The possibility of separating the isoscalar E2 and E3 resonances is shown.
