Stochastic analysis of a cellular network with mobile relays

In this paper, we proposed a general analytical model for mobile relay scenario using stochastic geometry approach. By applying different parameters into this general model, the Cumulative Distribution Function of the SINR and the average achievable rate on different links in both traditional mode and relay mode can be obtained. According to numerical results, we observed that penetration loss between outdoor and in-vehicle is a key factor to decide whether mobile relay could bring data rate gain into the system. When penetration loss is large, mobile relay could bring considerable data rate gain to embedded UEs inside the bus.
