An Approach Based on Concatenation the Areas of Interest for Selective Image Encryption

Image security has found an important place in many applications where the information (in the form of image or video) is to be protected from unauthorized access. Most of the image encryption techniques have some security and performance issues. The recent cipher schemes are not appropriate for higher form of multimedia data like images the huge amount, complex structure and statistical properties and some applications like Pay-TV or Payable Internet Imaging Albums do not require total encryption, but requires a part of the multimedia data to be transparent to all users. In this paper a new selective image encryption scheme based on cascade selection of interesting regions and using of stream cipher encryption is proposed. The proposed encryption system is based on a nonlinear combination generator. The results comparison is performed in terms of the parameters like histogram, correlation coefficient, entropy value and PSNR value.
