Dynamic sorting intelligent charging control strategy of electric vehicles based on time-of-use price

Uncoordinated charging of large-scale electric vehicles (EVs) would cause charging peak load superimpose on grid peak load, which would affect the economical and safe operation of the power system seriously. Therefore, it is vital to schedule EVs charging behavior. A dynamic sorting intelligent charging control strategy based on time-of-use (TOU) price is proposed in this paper. This strategy is used to reduce the network loss caused by EVs charging, and EVs coordinated charging with charging needs. The charging control strategy is verified in MATLAB/Simulink, and the results show that the strategy proposed in this paper can achieve peak load shifting and improve the economy of the power grid operation.
