Cardiac Image Dynamic Visualization and Enhancement for Palpitation Collaborative Diagnosis Using Internet Synchronization

Palpitation is a common cardiac premature ventricular contraction disease that has the potential of developing into a life-threatening condition. Early diagnosis is crucial to its treatment, where electrocardiographic (ECG) can be used to evaluate patient’s atrioventricular function, during which the dynamic behavior of left atrium and aorta (LAA), right atrium and ventricle (RAV), and myocardium (myo) can deliver valuable information for assessing patient’s cardiac arrhythmias. However, this technique usually lacks real-time visual feedback and is limited to local therapy. To address this issue, we develop a software platform that can visualize ECG-gated beating heart inner structures with enhanced myocardium and chambers in web browsers. Our software is running on a Node.js server and can synchronize the dynamic heart rendering among all the connected client computers using WebSocket protocol, so cardiologists can share the same view of the patient’s cardiac image rendering, observe the heart inner structures, and analyze its dynamic functions during the distributive palpitation diagnosis procedure at any location using a client computer connected to our server.
