Location-based services system based on dynamic traffic information

The emphasis of Location-Based Services(LBS) has switched from data-centric to service-centric and has more specific applications.However,most of the former LBS systems are developed based on static data instead of real-time or dynamic information.As a result,some of the services,especially in personal navigation,are not so pleasant.In order to tackle this problem,the paper designs a LBS system based on dynamic traffic information and successfully deploys it on a Java mobile phone,which receives LBS from a server via GPRS.
