Design of MIMO system with large transmit array antenna using two-stage block diagonalization

This paper presents a two-stage design approach of multiple input multiple output (MIMO) downlink multiuser system adopting large array antenna in transmitter side based on block diagonalization method. In the proposed method, in addition to zero-forcing operation by subarrays in the first stage, interference cancellation is executed also in the second stage for the large weight reconstruction, which enables us to increase the maximum number of users. Through computer simulations, the effectiveness of the proposed approach and some natures including the comparison of two types of proposed algorithms are investigated.
