Personal Healthcare Record Integration Method Based on Linked Data Model

With the increasing applications of electronic medical record systems, many hospitals have accumulated rich clinic data in format of distribution and heterogeneity. It is difficult for historic electronic medical records to be integrated from different data resources to build an overall personal electronic healthcare record (EHR) for a doctor to assess the health condition of a patient. In order to efficiently fulfill HER integrating, in this paper, Linked Data Model is extended and used to design a method for personal electronic medical data searching and integration. At first, the clinic data are obtained from transaction databases of hospital information systems, transformed and re-organized to Linked-Data format. Then data definitions are extracted from these linked electronic medical records and aligned with other open linked data resources to annotate themselves semantically for further integration. Finally, personal electronic healthcare records are constructed through linked information net. The prototype demonstrates that the proposed method is effective and efficient.
