Responses of some bread wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) lines to salt stress at germination stage.

In this study 6 salt concentrations (0, 50, 100, 150, 200 and 250 mM NaCl) were used to determine the effects of salinity on germination stage of 10 bread wheat line and st. wheat cultivars (Golia) in the plant physiology laboratory of the Department of Field Crops, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Uludag. The experiment was carried out as Randomized Plots Design with two factors and three replications. In the research, germination percentage, root lenght and shoot lenght, dry weights of root and shoot and salt tolerance index were examined. According to the results of research; E7 bread wheat line gave better results than standart cultivar (Golia) in terms of many features.
