An Efficient Noise Source Impedance Estimation Approach Applied in Electromagnetic Compatibility

In conductive electromagnetic compatibil- ity, the estimation of noise source impedance like switched mode power supply's impedance is somewhat a trouble- some problem since it is uneasy to detect the internal noise source impedance and also this impedance may vary quite differently due to the various type of sources. In this pa- per an efficient estimation approach of conductive noise source impedance is presented where single current probe method in conjunction with fast Hilbert transform method is employed for amplitude characterization and phase char- acterization of source impedance, respectively. The prin- ciple and application of this approach are described, and some experiments are accomplished to verify the approach.
